Beginning January 1, 2024, CalRecycle has added in some more items to the CRV program. The program now includes Alcohol and 100% Juice. This also includes Boxed Wines, Pouches and Paper Board alcohol. I have included a picture of some of the items and the refund amount.
CHANGE TO THE DAILY LOAD LIMITS ALLOWED TO BE REDEEMED AT THE CERTIFIED RECYCLING CENTERS BY CONSUMERS
Effective January 1, 2014, certified recycling centers in California are restricted by law from receiving loads of CRV empty beverage containers, and paying CRV to any person, operation or entity who is not certified by CalRecycle, Division of Recycling (Division) and who is delivering a load of material in excess (at or over) of 100 pounds of aluminum or each type of plastic beverage containers, or 1,000 pounds of glass beverage containers, per day. It is also a violation of the law for a recycling center to split loads in excess of the daily load limits into multiple transactions, or accept in any one day an aggregate total of material in excess of the daily load limits.
100 lbs. load limits on aluminum & all plastic, 1,000 lbs. load limit on glass.
50 consumer count maximum.
Any amount that is over the daily limit will be paid as scrap value.
We are aware that there are containers that are currently not labeled with CRV, that are on store shelves, and that CRV is being charged. We are not allowed to buy anything without the CRV labeling and will get fined for doing so.
We DO NOT ACCEPT any containers without proper CRV labels.
Please direct your complaints to:
CalRecycle at 1-800-Recycle or
Registration Unit at (916) 323-1835
We DO NOT ACCEPT any containers without proper CRV labels.
First and foremost, thank you to all of our valued customers, without you guys we would not be here and we are aware of that and appreciate every single one of you.
Due to the inconsistency of the other recycling centers hours and closures we have a new flow of traffic in our CRV recycling process.
Our CRV recycling is a one-lane, one-way traffic, drive-thru. We follow the first come, first serve policy, regardless if you are walking, riding, or driving. This is to keep the flow of customers/traffic consistent as well as being fair as possible to all customers. We require that your material is sorted prior to arrival (can with cans, #1 plastic with #1plastic, clear glass with clear glass, so on and so forth), this helps with processing your material faster and more efficiently since we are very busy.
During our busiest times we have an employee at the gate to acknowledge your arrival and write your license plate number. this is to keep you in line in the proper order of arrival. Once we’ve acknowledged you and write down your vehicle plate number, we will have you back into one of our parking spaces so we do not block our gate or the intersection, as well as other metal recyclers, and so you can see us and we can see you. When the line moves forward we will summon you to pull into the line when the space permits.
We are doing the best we can with the large influx of CRV recycling. We are thankful to be able to provide this service to our community.
Please be patient with us, we really are trying to do the best we can and are always looking at new ways to improve customer service.
Starting July 1, we will be increasing our appliance recycling fees for freon units (air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers) and nonmetallic dishwashers.
Our new fees will be: $25 per Freon unit (air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers) $10 per Dishwasher (nonmetallic)
We are hoping the increase will help with the rising cost of disposal of the oils as well as the cost to man the appliance shop and equipment to evac the oils in the units.
