Changes to the CRV department

As of May 10, 2018 we will no longer be accepting non crv plastics or glass  such as: milk jugs, bleach containers, and liquor bottles. If the container does not say “CA CRV” we will not accept it.

There seems to be many contradictions in the listings of what is and isn’t recyclable. My biggest concern is in order for me to travel to you from Burney I will need to bring my 5×8′ trailer behind my SUV with multiple 90gal containers and a few 32gal containers. Do I need to not bring non CRV plastic if so, where do I dispose of them along with milk jugs?

    1. Hi Roger,

The post from 2018 is still correct. However, in 2024 Cal Recycle added in alcohol to the CRV program. The containers must say CA CRV. The garbage plastic can still get recycled; we just don’t accept them. They can be recycled by your local landfill or transfer station.
