First and foremost, thank you to all of our valued customers, without you guys we would not be here and we are aware of that and appreciate every single one of you.
Due to the inconsistency of the other recycling centers hours and closures we have a new flow of traffic in our CRV recycling process.
Our CRV recycling is a one-lane, one-way traffic, drive-thru. We follow the first come, first serve policy, regardless if you are walking, riding, or driving. This is to keep the flow of customers/traffic consistent as well as being fair as possible to all customers. We require that your material is sorted prior to arrival (can with cans, #1 plastic with #1plastic, clear glass with clear glass, so on and so forth), this helps with processing your material faster and more efficiently since we are very busy.
During our busiest times we have an employee at the gate to acknowledge your arrival and write your license plate number. this is to keep you in line in the proper order of arrival. Once we’ve acknowledged you and write down your vehicle plate number, we will have you back into one of our parking spaces so we do not block our gate or the intersection, as well as other metal recyclers, and so you can see us and we can see you. When the line moves forward we will summon you to pull into the line when the space permits.
We are doing the best we can with the large influx of CRV recycling. We are thankful to be able to provide this service to our community.
Please be patient with us, we really are trying to do the best we can and are always looking at new ways to improve customer service.
How come I bring in 43.2 lbs of crushed aluminum cans at $1.70 per pound and get paid $28.05?? and what is a Tare? for a deduction of 26.7 lbs?? Can someone explain this to me? or am I just straight up getting ripped off.

Hi Raymond,
The way the weight works is as follows
Gross is the weight of your material in our cans, Tare is the weight of the cans and Net is the actual weight you get paid on
Looking at your tag your gross weight was 43.2 lbs minus the tare weight of 26.7 that leaves net of 16.5 lbs, which is what you got paid for.
